Bliss Hipp - Director

The Mt.Shasta Community Resource Center (MSCRC) opened its doors in April of 2005 and continues to build its foundation in the Mt.Shasta community. The mission of the MSCRC is to empower the Mt.Shsta community through support and resources by providing a safe, open environment that helps individuals gain strength and self-sufficiency.br>
The MSCRC strives to create an inviting atmosphere available to all community members for county-wide referrals to other agencies, parenting workshops and resources, childhood injury prevention and safety programs, child literacy, health and nutrition information, family events and domestic violence support for women. Several of our programs are provided in partnership with other community agencies.

The operation and planning of the MSCRC is overseen by a Board of Directos consisting of eight community members. The Board of Directors represents a broad spectrum of community involvement and expertise including childcare, economic development, education, recreation, public health, community planning and foster care. MSCRC staff includes an Americorp volunteer that serves as the MSCRC Director.
