Karen Pautz
Shasta Training and Consulting
Karen Pautz, has over 15 years of experience in early childhood leadership.
As an Early Childhood consultant, trainer and evaluator she has worked with
Regional Head Start programs, Early Head Start, Healthy Start, and several
colleges and universities. She has conducted local, state and national
presentations and trainings in early childhood education, cultural
competency, effects of media violence on children, organizational
development, supervision, coaching and partnerships in early childhood
education. In 2003 her advocacy for children and families was recognized by
the Children's Defense Fund with a Fellowship in the Emerging Leaders

Administrative Services Coordinator
Cheryl Sanchez
Cheryl Sanchez has spent many years in the administrative field and has been
with First 5 Siskiyou since January 2001. She moved to Siskiyou County from
Southern California where she was Executive Assistant to the President of a
large national property management company. In addition to acting as
Recording Secretary for the Commission, she directs the day to day
administration of the Commission Office working closely with the
